City. We may visit the Coricancha, the artist's quarters and some beautiful Inca streets. Group Welcome Dinner!

Day 3-SEP/16TH. INCA WAKAS (Holy places)
Early in the morning, we initiate a ceremonial path discovering the power places in Cuzco city and its surroundings. Visit to the "waka" or holy place of
the Puma in Q'enqo, understand the solar initiation path and work with the
power of the solstice. Continue to Amaru Machay and to Sacsayhuaman—the amazing pre-Incan stone fortress outside Cuzco.

Day 4-SEP/17TH. SACRED VALLEY
We discover the culturally important and powerful Sacred
Valley of the Inca. We visit the Initiation center at Chinchero and the magnificent House of Pachamama in Moray. The Sacred Valley was the center of Inca spirituality. Afternoon we visit the sanctuary of Ollantaytambo where people often report major spiritual experiences. Lunch included.

Option 1 Inca Trail Hike   Day 5-SEP/18TH. INCA TRAIL
We leave in the morning for our trail head. There we meet our camp staff and our porters who will carry everything on our hike except our personal day pack. Tents, all meals, and camping equipment are provided. You bring your own warm gear and sleeping bag. The beginning of our trek, near the
village of Piscacucho (9,150') is fairly flat. We see the snowy peak of Mount Veronica (19,188') in the Urubamba range. We hike roughly 4-6 hours to our camp which is about 8,500' in elevation. We'll join in group meditations when possible either before or after dinner during our trek. All meals on the trek are included.

Day 6-SEP/19TH. INCA TRAIL
Today is a steep and challenging day of hiking, as we trek the switchbacks to a high point of our trip. We are rewarded by vistas of mountains, glaciers and forested gorges. Our journey takes 6-7 hours to the campsite at a high meadow (10,990').

Day 7-SEP/20TH. INCA TRAIL
Our hiking takes us up and down along the Inca Trail, sometimes on steps carved by the ancients into the mountainside, to our second highest mountain pass at 12,631'. We explore ruins we pass, pausing often to photograph the views. 7 to 8 hours hiking brings us to our campsite with a spectacular 360 degree view and an altitude of 11,975'.

Option 2. Skip the Inca Trail Hike, spend more time in the
Sacred Valley. Take the train to Machu Picchu. Details at the end of this itinerary.

Day 8-SEP/21ST. ARRIVE TO
MACHU PICCHU
On our last day on the Inca Trail we choose to walk in silence. The path takes us through dense cloud-forests, following stairs cut into the mountains by the Incas. We hike lower and lower, the air warms, the vegetation changes. En route we explore the terraces and ceremonial baths of the Inca site Wiñay Wayna. Our path winds and descends to Intipunku (8,860') the Gateway of the Sun. We are moved by the awe inspiring view of the Sacred
City of the Sun, Machu Picchu below us, and the mountain vistas that surround us. We walk to the sacred city, enjoy the magnificent view and then take a bus to our hotel in the village of Aguas Calientes (7,824'). We each enjoy a hot shower and then meet for a celebration dinner together, (included)

Day 9-SEP/22ND. MACHU PICCHU: THE EQUINOX
After an early breakfast we return to the Andean jewel of Machu Picchu, to enjoy the main sections. Mallku takes us through the history and sacred lore of the Inca’s Lost City. We are led on a profound ceremony of healing for the Equinox. We visit the Sacred Plaza, the Temple of the Sun and Royal Tomb. We marvel over the Inca architecture, craftsmanship and stonework. With Mallku's guidance we honor the Spirit of the Condor, taking time for meditation, personal reflection and offerings.

Day 10-SEP/23RD. AGUAS CALIENTES - CUZCO
After some shopping in Aguas Calientes, we take the tourist train and a bus, to return to Cuzco and our familiar hotel.

Day 11-SEP/24TH. CUSCO - TITICACA
We travel by private bus 8 to 10 hours to the town of Puno (12,505'), glimpsing the changing topography as we go. On the way we visit sites of the pre-Incan civilizations and the Temple of Wiraqocha. Arrive to Puno late in the afternoon. (lunch included)

Day 12-SEP/25TH. AMANTANI
ISLAND
This morning we cross the highest navigable lake in the world by boat to the island of Amantani. En route we visit the floating reed islands of the Uros people. On Amantani the spiritual leader of the community will led us in a POWER OFFERING for Pachamama. This night we share with the locals and stay in their homes. Amantani is a beautiful island with warm and hospitable inhabitants. Lunch & dinner included.

Day 13-SEP/26TH. AMANTANI - PUNO
Early in the morning we ascend to the temples of Pachatata and Pachamama where we present our offering to Pachamama and to life. We experience the merging of the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine and the energies of the Eagle and the Condor. After a picnic lunch (included) we boat back to Puno for a free afternoon. Puno
City is located in the Southeast corner of Peru, on the shores of the magnificent Lake Titicaca and only 126km from the frontier with Bolivia. At 3,827m in altitude, Puno is a melting pot of Andean cultures including the Aimara from the South and Quechua from the North.

Day 14-SEP/27TH. PRE-INCA AIMARA WAKAS
Today is dedicated to experiencing the powerful energies of Lake Titicaca, known as the female pole of the planet. In many ways this part of the journey will be more important spiritually than even our visit to Machu Picchu. With Mallku's knowledge we begin to understand the ancient Aimara Temples to the south. Our group visits the Fertility
Temple, and continues to the Ajayu Marka to walk along the Power Snake and meditate at its Dimensional Doorway, often called “The Gateway of Aramu Muru”. On our return to Puno we visit the Copamaya altars and communicate with the spirit of the great Lake Titicaca. Lunch and Farewell Dinner included.

Day 15-SEP/28TH. PUNO - SILLUSTANI - JULIACA - LIMA
This morning we make the hour drive to Juliaca. On the way we see the Andean Taj Mahal at Sillustani; this is an important altar honoring Pachamama and Wiraqocha. We catch our flight back to Lima. Arrive and transfer to the hotel.
