NEPAL REPORT: RELEASING GIRLS FROM SERVITUDE
Olga Murray, Founder of the Nepalese Youth Opportunity Foundation
Be prepared to be touched and inspired by this story of one woman’s service to the world’s poorest children. In 1984, sixty-year old Olga Murray—a lawyer at the California Supreme Court—broke her leg while trekking in Nepal. At the hospital she saw children abandoned by families too poor to feed them. With friends she began giving assistance and scholarships. From that began the Nepalese Youth Opportunity Foundation, (NYOF) Now, at 83, Olga is still intimately involved with the children of Nepal. It is an answer to a lot of depression and unfulfillment.”
I have personally been a contributor to NYOF for over a decade and have visited the children’s homes of NYOF in Kathmandu. What a gift this work is for the children of this impoverished and beautiful Himalayan nation! Such a little goes so far!
